Press conference notes: Braun discusses offensive struggles

@mshelton33 , you’ve done a nice job on these all season. Thanks.

The logistics of ‘calling the defense’ and ‘not wanting to bother Bajakian when he’s calling the offense’ but also wanting to touch base as a head coach on offensive personnel seem challenging.

I wish Braun could’ve shared more than “Trey is running the ball well.” I wish he could have added “keep playing him”.

Ditto. Glad someone is asking the question which is, in essence, how to deal w/Bajakian's glaring incompetence?

Braun told Bajakian to keep playing Trey, but that advice went unheeded. From the article:
"One example Braun singled out was junior running back Anthony Tyus III, who had six carries for 63 yards last Saturday, including a long of 39. During the game, Braun said he passed along to Bajakian "simple comments like 'keep rolling with it, Tre is running the ball really well right now."
Tyus had five carries for 63 yards, including that 39-yard rush, on Northwestern's 73-yard field-goal drive in the second half. Tyus got just one more carry the rest of the game."

Bajakian must be listening to @gocatsgo2003 too much. I don't care if Tyus is built like a linebacker or not, he was the most effective ball carrier for us and Bajakian decided to stop giving him the ball. At least keep using him until he proves he can't do it.

That was my point. It’s like when my wife says “I reallllly like flowers”, but also omits “please buy me some”. She’s not getting flowers.

It’s a shame Braun didn’t have time for the follow-up statement: “Keep using him.”
