The Browns waived/injured Vitale (calf) on Saturday, Andrew Gribble of the team's official site reports.

Vitale is mainly used as a blocking fullback, as he hasn't had a carry through his first two years in the league. However, the Northwestern product does have seven catches for 46 yards. If he clears waivers, he'll revert to the team's injured reserve.
