One of our QB targets - Josh Jackson - is expected to pick up an offer from the University of Oklahoma. Given the recent ugliness at OU, how do you think this will play out with African-American recruits like Jackson?
I have to think that it would give parents/recruits some pause. I know OU has already lost one recruit because of it, but he also ended up at Alabama, a school not known for progressive attitudes, bu is a world class football school. I know the OU football team seems to have rallied together, so maybe there will be a bit of bunker, us against the world mentality.
I'm curious to hear thoughts. I think this will help schools like Northwestern and Notre Dame with parents. Although if parents decided where their kids ended up, we would probably have a few more Rose Bowl wins.
