I have learned from a Rivals source that QB Aidan Smith thinks NU could offer him on Monday, and that he is ready to commit if they do. My guess is that NU is going to give Josh Jackson until then to make a decision. He is visiting Va Tech today, while Smith is at the Rivals Challenge. If Jackson doesn't pull the trigger and commit this weekend, it looks like NU is prepared to offer Smith -- and Smith apparently is ready to jump on it.
