Three-star Arizona QB Treyson Bourguet worked out for NU coaches earlier this week. He doesn't yet have an offer from the Cats but is optimistic that he will get one after throwing for Coach Bajakian. He also had a workout for BYU coaches earlier in the week and walked away with an offer.
I caught up with Bourguet on Twitter DM a couple days ago. This is what he had to say about the feedback he received.
"NU coaches really were impressed with me. As you know, their process is extremely slow and they’re a little pushed back due to Covid, but within the next few weeks is when I should expect an offer."
"I do believe after they’re done evaluating the other couple QBs, an offer will be extended to me. And yes, I was able to workout and throw at NU for Coach Bajakian and Coach Fitz."
"I just finished up BYU and now am heading over to Colorado for a workout for them."
"NU is a dream for me, as it should be for any kid trying to get the best of both worlds."
It looks like Conner Harrell (OV this weekend) and Brandon Rose (next weekend) are NU's top targets. Bourguet and Jayden Max Denegal -- who also worked out for coaches this week -- look to be their fallbacks and could eventually get offers depending on how things go with Harrell and Rose. But the fact that neither one earned an offer at their workout tells you they're on the second tier right now. Here's my post about Denegal:

FB RECRUITING - Feedback from QB camper Jayden Max Denegal
I traded a few texts with three-star QB Jayden Max Denegal about his experience at Northwestern's camp today. This is what he had to say: How did the camp go? "It went good. I got to meet all of the coaches and take a little tour after the Camp." What feedback did you get? "I did well...
