Ive noticed most of his passes are low and away from the WRs. Catching a ball thrown at knee is harder. Catching a ball tailing away from you is harder too. Additionally, even if you catch the ball going to the ground you don't get YAC. Prime example is the dropped TD against Nebraska. Why does he throw so many low? Ideas:
1. Accuracy issues
2. Confidence issues ie. He's about throwing INTs so he's putting the ball in places DB can't catch it rather than places the WR will catch it.
3. See 2 but the coaches are worried about it
4. The coaches tell him throw it low and to the outside because high passes that get dropped bounce up and get picked while low passes hit the ground.
5. There's so little separation Thorson is making the only pass he can
