Quite a contrast to the two Cal games

Yesterday the teams obviously had deep respect for each other. They helped opposing players up and patted them on the back. None of the cheap shots, late hits and trash talking that we experienced against Cal.

Well, it's to be expected. Stanford recruits a grade of student athlete that is in the same class as NU's. Cal recruits thugs and the school isn't really that good either.

Is this droski bait?
Possibly. But it is also true. I was not at the game but the difference in posters was night and day. The Stanford folks are not very active on their board and certainly were not on ours. The few Stanford folks that came on here were polite. The only problem was that a Cal fan followed them over and started trolling Stanford on our board. It was somewhat entertaining but spoke volumes about Cal posters (if not Cal fans).

I noticed that too, Seattle. Even pointed out to my wife how classy Stanford's players seemed to be.

Before the last snap, the Stanford defensive line players were actually congratulating the NU offensive line players they were battling against. It was cool to see. A lot of these players looked at both schools before making their decisions and this was a clean fought battle.

Thanks for pointing this out, you are absolutely correct. I hope we never have to play Cal again.

Or NU posters who troll other boards?

I have wondered about that. I have never gone to another board to troll but know that some of our folks find it entertaining to do so. As I have stated in previous posts, I don't get the entertainment value of that.

I have posted on other boards, but never to troll. Sometimes I just like to get more info on an opponent or comment on opponent that I respected. When the locals don't want me there I stop posting.

I freely admit that I go to other boards after a victory (especially a surprise victory) to see the reaction of their fanbase. Notre Dame was very entertaining last year. But I do not post or troll. Just read their reactions.

I frequent a ton of other boards, and have rarely seen anyone troll there. More annoyingly, I have seen some of the trolls on this board actually post their negative rants about our team on other boards....
