Probably either lovie smith and/or his son mykal. They were always pretty good with bringing in NU players when they were with the Bears. I believe mykal, or maybe another of lovies sons went to NU as well. Good for rashard- I was surprised the Bears didn't give him a practice squad spot.

Kind of ironic in that one of my lasting memories of Rashad was the third down grab in the Gator Bowl where he came back to the ball and got a first down on a pass from his scrambling ex-high school teammate, Trevor Siemian. That play came with the score tied at 13 and Miss State having their crowd into it for the first time. Right after that, the Cats went down and scored and regained control of the game for good. He also had a big catch in the win over Vandy with the score tied late in the fourth quarter. Hope he finds a new football home in J-ville.
