i think the caliber of play is high in europe, and i don't think it is uncommon for college teams to lose big on these kind of foreign tours
Nebraska just beat one of the teams we will play. Their top recruit from Chicago, Ed Morrow, led them in scoring.NU will be playing professional teams during the trip. Does anyone know, in general, how good these teams are? If 0-5 is a reasonable expectation I would like to know before it happens so I don't get disappointed.
The Cats will be playing different teams.
Go Cats!
Lol. I'm not. I talked to some people within the BB program. Guess they were just pumping things up.Uh, not exactly......NE just beat Eurocolego Casvi, the team the Cats play second, 79-64. When did you become such an expert on European pro basketball anyway??
I just took a look at all of the rosters of the teams we're playing on eurobasket.com. Almost all teams are filled with 90% local Spanish players with a couple American players here and there. To put things in perspective, the American players come from Stonehill (Div II), Cumberland College, Middle Tennessee State, Rice, etc. These local Spanish pro league teams are certainly not elite European professional teams. Expect victories. The Cats will be playing different teams. But the Spain league is the best in Europe. I know the cats will be playing their best team, so don't expect victories. We aren't in Italy and they aren't scheduling the lower end of the European professional teams. We will get an ass kicking but one helluva education. I'll try to find out the exact names of the teams.
Go Cats!
