Recruit Roundup: Bowser runs for 434 yards and 6 TDs

They really need to promote this kid from AA to the Bigs. He's tearing up the league.

Don't want to rain on his parade because all he can do is excel against the competition he's facing and I think he has the physical skills to develop into a nice RB or LB, but... if we're to continue with the baseball analogy... I don't think it's AA he's facing... more like low-A at best:

Isaiah Bowser the ball carrier seems to have picked up some moves from Justin Jackson. He cuts well, and deked out would-be tacklers in the backfield to avoid losing yardage. Looking forward to seeing how he translates this to the Power 5 level.

He racked up over 200 yards on their first two opponents, who are now 4-1. One of which made a deep playoff run last season. Sure the last 3 opponents haven't been good but conference play starts next week and it'll only get tougher.

Appreciate the color. Didn't go so far as to research individual opponents.

His school is ranked 4th in the first Ohio State Computer rankings. They are in the second Division (second largest group of schools), and each Division has 4 Regions:

Region 8 - 1. Cin. La Salle (4-0) 12.725, 2. Cin. Anderson (4-0) 11.35, 3. Cin. Winton Woods (4-0) 9.45, 4. Sidney (4-0) 9.375, 5. Day. Belmont (4-0) 7.9773, 6. Harrison (3-1) 7.55, 7. Trenton Edgewood (3-1) 7.375, 8. Marion Harding (3-1) 6.475, 9. Chillicothe (2-2) 5.8, 10. Morrow Little Miami (3-1) 4.8, 11. Ashville Teays Valley (2-2) 4.7, 12. Lima Senior (2-2) 4.15

In the State AP Poll, they are 7th among all Division II schools:
DIVISION II
1. Cincinnati La Salle (23) 4-0 250
2. Avon (1) 4-0 213
3. Cincinnati Anderson (1) 4-0 189
4. Cincinnati Winton Woods 4-0 165
5. Medina Highland 4-0 134
6. Grafton Midview 4-0 121
7. Sidney 4-0 99

I'd say Bowser is leading his team pretty effectively. However, the first two teams they beat are from Divisions IV and III respectively, the next 2 at the bottom of Division II, and last night they whipped a bad Division III team. Watch for his upcoming games against Troy and Tippecanoe the first 2 Fridays in October, middle of the pack Division I schools.

I believe the #2 team is freshman center, Sam Gerak's Avon Eagles, who have become quite a juggernaut in recent years.
