I know this comes up every year, but to me the recruiting process is getting worse every year. Maybe it is because Hardballs is close enough to Evanston to smell his stench. Michigan steals from PSU. Who steals from Rutgers, who steals from temple, who steals from Delaware. The big boys just wait and cherry pick while kicking early recruits to the curb. The system almost encourages the behavior. Teams over sign and then discard disappointing or injured players.

I don't know what the solution is as it is a complex issue, but I do know some of the shenanigans that are becoming more prevalent disgust me. Verbals are almost meaningless for most programs and even many recruits. Throw out offers like candy, if we find something better, we will just tell you we don't have a spot. Accept an offer, reserve your spot, if the big boys come in later, we'll just change our mind. Get off my lawn!
