NU is dead last in the country in Red Zone offense. If my memory serves me right, I believe our three red zone touchdowns came against EIU. This is something that I hope Fitz is stressing in practice this week. It was very frustrating watching that ~60 yard run by Jackson only to come away with 3 points last week. It seems like we're good from downtown (Thorson, Carr, Long, Vitale, Vitale, Carr) but we have to shore up the short game as well.

I agree. I think that McCall can often get caught up in playing it safe too often. The reason our team struggles in the red zone is because we are simply not a blow you off the line offense. I believe we should try to pass on first down more. Give them something they are not expecting, especially with a mobile quarterback.
