I'm going to see 4 star commit Roderick Campbell play tomorrow. I've never gone to see a HS game with the intention focusing on one player. Anything I should do beside were purple?

You should wear purple. :p. See I'm not the only one who struggled with picking the right form of the word

Very interested in your observations, Deering. I've heard he could be a special player.

So what was your reading on Campbell tonight, Deeringfish? I got there at the end of the first quarter, and from then on the other team ( which was surprisingly awful) stayed completely away from his side of the field. My only two takeaways were: (1) he looks really skinny; NU will have to put some meat on him, and (2) he is the holder on place kicks, so we could use him for fake kicks.

That was a typo but I'm not beyond those kinds of mistakes.

No, I think you had it right the first time. Just blame someone in Florida with magical editing powers from slipping that in on you. I know, because I have found lots of grammatical errors in my posts that were not there when I posted them.

Well, unfortunately they did avoid him all evening.
His team won something like 57 to 7. I actually felt bad for the kid because he must have been bored. Going from being a QB to a CB who is never tested would be tough IMO. I doubt he will even be tired tonight. He probably has to work harder at practice.
He did have one kick off return for 18 yards where he ran all the way across the field. If his blocking had lined up just a hair faster he would have broken through to the next level and had only a couple of guys to beat.
Since he didn't get challenged in any way I tried to look for other things. He was on the field for the toss so I guess he is a captain. He was usually busy on the sideline touching base with the other players. He moved like an athlete should; comfortable and loose. He did seem thin but I felt the whole teem seemed small so it may have been the perspective of the sunken field.
His dad saw me in my NU shirt and introduced himself. I later met his mom. Very nice people. I'm looking forward to seeing them again at future games.

Go Cats! Go Red Devils!
