Sad: My loosely-affiliated class of 2002 tailgate group disbanded this season

I’ve attended about six over the years, but it had elevated to an event. Sadly, even those that had soldiered on with kids through the years decided that the combination of bad football and other things was too much.

I found out today when the “here’s what’s on the menu” email was instead a “sorry nobody really wanted to do it” email. I always looked forward to those emails.

I know what you mean. About 15 of us tailgated regularly in the lot that is now the Ryan Fieldhouse parking garage. Had season tickets for 3-4 years and tailgated next to the same groups for every home game. But, life happens. Most moved away, had kids etc. This old man can't tailgate like he used to. Might get the gang back together for a game this year.

When my wife and I had kids, there were about ten years where there were no sporting events for me. Luckily that period ended in 1994.
