Sanjay Lumpkin named to ATL Hawks coaching staff

He’s been in the Utah scouting/video department for the past two seasons. Also played in the Hawks system for two seasons in the G-League.

ebbs and flows ....seems like the NBA is starting to pay attention to defense again....I loved watching SL play defense...maybe now he is going to pass it on....Two years as Player Development with Utah...contrary to popular opinion he must have gotten some good coaching at at NU

NBA pays attention to defense (with a few exceptions). It's just that almost every player on the court is an offensive threat and great offense generally beats great defense.

Sanjay is smart and hard working. He may not have been much of an offensive force but that doesn't mean he can't coach it.
