Inside NU reports that Jack Mitchell, Austin Carr and Josh Roberts all earned scholarships this year. I didn't know that Mitchell and Carr didn't already have scholarships. Congrats to them and more importantly to their parents, who are now about $60,000 richer!

I thought Mitchell had a BB scholarship but maybe not. In any event, moving him to FB for scholarship would free up one in BB.

I know nothing about his situation. But I seem to recall some rule about not having football players on a scholarship in another sport. They don't want teams to skirt the 85 scholarship limit by stashing players in baseball, track, wrestling, etc.

I believe NJCat is correct. You can't have someone play football and have a scholarship for another sport. Miami figured this trick out and had guys like Santana Moss on track scholarship.

With title 9, I would guess that is less possible as the number of scholarships available in those sports is limited and using them strips those sports.
