I thought he was huge last night on both ends.

He didn't score a ton, and he wasn't raining down shots from deep, but he made several huge shots.

Mostly on fast breaks with a huge degree of difficulty. And they were glue shots. They secured the margin at critical times.

Been watching NU bball for 35 years and I can't remember a better fast break team than this one.

How much does it suck to be the other team and know you have to stop the break, and then if you do you'll be subjected to a meat grinder motion offense. It just weighs on you mentally.

Great points. The difference that we noted last night is that IU was just taking some really bad shots, such as a contested 3 pointer early in the clock. I have noticed this year that we have stopped forcing the fast break and the unnecessary quick shot to wait for a good shot. We will back it out and then grind it out. We ae a realy well-coached team.

I was anxious during the initial start, but was comfortable since we were getting good shots. Scottie, when he does not shoot well from the outside, does not go into the shell he did last year. Instead, he then goes to the hoop. What I really like seeing in Scottie and Vic posting up their shorter defenders
