is going to be back in time for the season? That's five months, he's on crutches and can barely walk. He talks confidently however.

Jack, I think it's been reported that it was a follow-up on the ACL injury from last season. The meniscus clean-up was done on Jackson. So many injuries, so little time.

Maybe he can get a medical hardship 6th year. It is hard for me to believe that a guy can perform his best in such a short time.

It was a follow-up to the ACL surgery but it was for torn cartilage, which is more serious than meniscus. My concern is that he won't be running again until July, so he'll have just one month to get in shape for camp and two for the season opener.

If he is having problems with articulating cartilage, he may be done. Once the cartilage is damaged, there isn't any way to effectively "repair" it, cartilage doesn't regenerate itself like tissue. Microfracture surgery is a crude attempt to get cells to grow and isn't very effective.

Sad for Christian if he isn't able to return.
