Should we expect immediate improvements to OL under Anderson?

With basically a whole new system being implemented for the OL, we may see another bumpy start to the season, which I'm not looking forward to. We have a lot of moving pieces, with only 2 returning starters and one of them (Slater) making the switch from RT to LT. The recent article on InsideNU sheds some light.

“It’s a pretty big change,” said Slater. “It’s just flipped, which is maybe more hard than it sounds.”

According to Anderson, Slater’s position wouldn’t be the only thing undergoing a shift with a change in leadership. “It’s all new terminology, it’s all new technique,” he said. “Even if the three guys were to come back, the only benefit they’d have is experience...everybody’s on the same page now, with new terminology, new footwork, new eye progressions.”

Obviously, we should be better off in the long run, but I wonder if it'll take a few games to get used to the system. Maybe that's what happened at Arkansas that resulted in some fan dissatisfaction with Anderson. A slow start will mean a lot of whining and complaining around here... arguments... screen names lost... should be a fun season!
