All credit to Skelly. He was clutch down he stretch. Very impressed with his play tonight.
Skelly earned himself some more playing time tonight. The guy is a stud on the glass, and without Law, we're going to need him in there. Got manhandled on the boards by a very impressive (and big!) Columbia team until he came in. It will be interesting to see if he has any kind of an outside game at all. Made a nice free throw in a clutch situation. A really important win with a tough tournament coming up this week. By the way, on ESPN tonight, Jay Williams picked Northwestern as BIG's seventh or eighth team in the tourney.
Agreed. Rosenberg absolutely disappeared when Skelly came in. Glad to see he was up to the challenge; we might have lost without him after Sanjay fouled out.
His energy alone completely inflated a flat team. I was calling for him from the stands and am not surprised at all how much he helped lift everyone. In certain matchups, he's going to be really valuable, but his junkyard dog hustle will fit no matter what. Hope his ankle's OK.
Skelly is supposed to have a decent jumper, tho he really hasn't shown it yet.
Been underrated and underappreciaed - liked what he did last yr as a frosh out of position and in the Spain highlights, he was one of 2-3 who really stood out.
Hopefully, w/ his performance tonite, has earned some more playing time (helps that he can play some decent D and is a more physical presence).
it was a godsend that sanjay fouled out as it was a matchup problem that we apparently had to play through. credit to Xfactor Skelly. very impressive. Difficult to determine his availability for NC game and beyond since his ankle/foot injury that had him on the floor and not being able to walk with any flexibility.
