I'll admit I laughed. It's not often you see a guy fire one up from beyond half-court with 10 seconds still on the clock. At least we had a sizable lead and COULD laugh about it (Collins wasn't laughing).

The irony is it was the only shot Gavin missed all day. Maybe it was a heat check?

Do we know think the coaching staff realizes that Skelly is a real gem at PF and that his minutes will continue to increase? Now, after sitting the first couple of games, his contributions have been impressive in Columbia, Mizzou and NO wins. Not sure why his minutes increase to 20-25 minutes a game.

Agreed. Skelly is a gem and needs to be on the court.

I like Skelly too. Great nose for the ball. Crashes boards, works for position... He still needs a bit of polishing. Sees opportunities but doesn't always execute. I have no doubt that that will change.

after that mistake, he was alert and drove to the hoop and got two pts anyway. Skelly is a force and very athletic or at least more athletic than i thought.
