His two holding calls were probably from frustration more than lack of technique, although that played a role as well.

Skoronski is like the only guy plugging holes in the Titanic. Can you really expect he is going to look like an All American every snap for an offense that can’t do anything?
No he isn't! Old boy has been whiffing on blocks all year and #15 for Minnesota made him look like he was wearing roller skates.

1. PETER SKORONSKI, NORTHWESTERN (JUNIOR)

Big board rank: 7

Skoronski is in the middle of the single most dominant pass-blocking season we’ve seen in our nine years of college grading. On 383 pass-blocking snaps, he has allowed only five pressures. That’s it.

His 93.1 pass-blocking grade is far and away tops in the country.

Whiffing on blocks all year, LOL, do you have objective grade-out statistics to support that?
Yes my eyes. I have seen him whiff blocks all year. Mark my words right now he would not get drafted first round and has nowhere near the highlight tape Rashawn Slater had.

-Tell me on clip 2 he is NFL ready? Micah Parsons please?

-this last one I call "Roller skates"

Won’t be a first round pick? What would you be willing to wager he falls out of the first round if he goes? This is the easiest bet of all time.

Season Tickets in Section 124 next year. I have never seen a first round pick taken from a 1-11 team.

I’m pretty sure he gave up a pretty bad sack a game or two ago. I however have no clue how many pressures he’s given up. And I hope he’s a first round pick if he declares for the pros, as expected.

Shame you put all the effort in and still look absurd.

Your best example isn't even an OL on skates. You're just throwing phrases at the wall.

And he has no concept of what the QB should doing like maybe stepping up in the pocket.

Hey bud want to get in on this bet then? I might have the whole section to myself at this rate.

Skates- The DE ended his push where the QB dropped back. Skowronski didn't impede him one bit. Gonna tell me that was how the scheme was designed? The DE was under his pads the whole game. You think that's what a 1st rounder looks like? You think the Bears need that protecting Fields' blindside.

Guys like Quinn or Parsons would own him. He is nowhere near 1st round draft pick quality. Watch UGA, TN, or ALA. He would get dominated in the SEC. He may even fall to the 3rd round. Do you ever notice people laughing when you talk about football?

Now I know you don’t know how pass blocking works.

Unlike you, I've provided video evidence. But maybe you think "passing" works better with the defender grabbing the QB while looking down field. I assume in your scheme the defender is supposed to push the tackle into the QB for the play to work. I get it. LOL.

You're the one defending the 1-11 team and calling it football.

No I’m not. I’m defending the one actually good football player we run out there every Saturday.

Pass blocking is not about stoning the DL at the line of scrimmage. That’s just now how it works because… physics. It is about slowing down the DL while maintaining a pocket, which Skoronski typically does extremely well. The issue is usually that there are four other guys out there who are not very good. At all.

I didn't say Skoronski sucks. But I'm not drafting him 1st round. If Slater was a 10 he is like a 5.2. He gets out-leveraged way too much, whiffs run blocks, and rarely gets to the 2d level.

Typical Alabama, Georgia, USC, Michigan, and Iowa guys do. I see a good lineman. I do not see a 1st rounder.

NFL people do, and they’re the ones whose opinions actually matter.

Sorry but I’ll trust the college football writers and NFL draft projections over your eyeball test. The boards that I’ve read, have him going from 7th to 29nd pick

I’ve no clue if Skowronski is a first rounder or not, but I would rather support the best NFL prospect on the team than bad mouth him by stating that you’ve seen him getting blown up so can’t be a first rounder.

I understand that you’ve seen something and doubt his abilities but you might be better off asking why he’s consistently highly rated despite what you’ve seen

What is the point of your posts? It’s such a weird thing to focus on. Our best player is not as good as everyone says he is! Look at me. I’m an annoying know-it-all.

And that is coming from an annoying know-it-all.
