Things looked pretty dire in the first half but you knew the O would find its way eventually. Fortunately Rutgers couldn't hit much of anything other than circus shots (which also seemed to draw untimely fouls late in the game, what the heck!). The defense was again very good, absent too many fouls of course. Rebounding and blocked shots were exceptional. Thankfully in the 2nd half much more attacking the rim and many easy buckets (or free throws) thereafter.
Given the rough week that it was for the team (both mentally and physically with the reports of several guys being sick), that was a good W. Let's hope Sunday brings a packed house and a renewed energy. I would love to see us handle Iowa convincingly and reinforce us as an upper-tier Big Ten team.
