More abuse by the powers that be? First it is Peacock and now have to have another streaming service just to watch a single game?

$12 to watch , one month subscription ESPN+. Sure to find something of value to see/read in next month. Will probably have to same thing with BTN+ to see Pepperdine game.

Yet another streaming service lacking critical features for sports fans. There is no way to mark a game to “record” and watch later. Yes, a replay is available after the broadcast ends, but the only way to start playback from the beginning DURING the broadcast is to start live and then scroll back to the beginning. Unacceptable! I understand there are workarounds involving other apps. But come on. This is ESPN. It should be designed for sports watching.

It's a road game, so the conference doesn't get to decide the TV rights.

Correct, and this isn't even an ESPN-produced broadcast, it's a Dayton local broadcast and ESPN+ is picking up the feed. Even a few years ago we would not have been able to watch this at all.

The sound quality was so bad early on I had to switch to Eanet, which I probably should've done from the beginning, but syncing was a real challenge. You'd think once you're synched it would stay that way, but every commercial break screwed it up.

So now after you pay for everything in the high end cable package still have to have 3 streaming services (ESPN+ Peacock and BTN+) to watch other games Plus the inconvenience,

Honestly I thought the Dayton announcers we're great. They clearly prepared for this game and were very complimentary of the 'Cats, mentioning multiple times how we had the highest % of returning minutes in the conference and that it was an absolute joke that the media picked us 16th.

They were well-prepared and complimentary of NU but that was one of the worst broadcasts I've ever heard. The PxP guy in particular was horrendous.

We are all a bit spoiled. Myself included as I often think it's BS I have to work so hard to figure out how to watch a game. The truth is that it was only a few years ago that this kind of game we could not watch on TV, period.

I think that was the underlying issue that made Mark Cuban a billionaire. Not being able to even listen to a radion broadcast of Hossiers' games.

For what it is worth, the game is up on YouTube. Runs about an hour and ten minutes.
Watched the video replay last night.
I was out of town and didn't see anything "live" other than the free ESPN game cast and live box score.

But when I got home last night, I immediately went to WildcatReport's game thread and felt like I was seated at midcourt, surrounded by basketball geniuses, explaining what was happening.

Good thing that we have an abundance of geniuses.
