Wisconsin was a little shaky against Notre Dame's press in the final minute of their defeat as well.

I think that teams prepare against their zone and when the press came, it caught them off guard

Not to mention Northern Iowa's epic collapse against Texas A&M, which allowed the Aggies to stick around for an extra game. If Syracuse in the final four (or Notre Dame in the Elite 8 for that matter) doesn't prove what a crap shoot the tournament can be, nothing does. No way off their seasonal body of work that they're one of college's best four teams, but they play an uncommon system and got hot at the right time. So be it.

Part of it was that Virginia broke the press most of the time quite easily and had 2 on 1 opportunities and for some reason pulled back and didn't push those. Would've won the game if they had.
