So, on the game itself, any thoughts on how we match up? I honestly haven't seen more than a minute or two of a game of theirs since I think nearly the start of conference season. Are they still (like last year) a physical team that bangs you around and plays good defense but doesn't have much shooting on offense? A couple athletic slashers but no one to spread the floor?

According to KenPom they are #309 in AdjO (this is truly embarrassing for a P5 team, like beyond bad, like so much so that I wonder if it might be the worst rating for a B1G team on either side of the ball in recorded history) against #18 in AdjD, which would seem to suggest that is still the case.

Also they are 2-12 in conference with 6 straight losses, only wins against Iowa and Wisconsin.

Keys to winning would seem to be fairly straightforward- stay disciplined and at home on D, don't overplay, make them beat us; on O push into transition wherever possible to avoid their good halfcourt D, and generally just make shots. Try to make it into a game of speed and skill and team play rather than a slugfest basically.

What does everyone else think..?

The bookies must not think we match up that well. Last I saw, NU was only a 3 point favorite. Does that suggest Ash will not play again.

That is 6 pt on a neutral ct. HC advantage is often a lot more than that. We lost to PSU by 15 at PSU and then won by 11 at "home" MN we blew out at home and got by when we were there. Strong team D the way RUT play and at their home can make it close.

My concern is that nobody really wants to be in Piscataway on a Tuesday night in the middle of February unless they absolutely have to.
