I saw that Hilinski and Lausch entered the game in relief of Bryant. Hilinski threw the back-breaking TD pass that really sealed the game. It wasn't quite garbage time yet. It was a great play.

But I thought Sully was the backup. Why did he not enter the game? Was he injured?

I was at the game so I didn't get to hear whether the announcers talked about it.

I understand it was questionable whether he would play even before the game started.

Did NU release the mandated inactive list? I don’t recall seeing anything. It was nice to have both Kirtz and Pearson back. Two older guys that have played a lot of football. Also happy to see that Lawson’s injury wasn’t serious. I was afraid he was going to miss multiple games.

Supposedly took a shot last week. Was listed as questionable and had a headset on. I assume he was the emergency QB this week. His durability (or lack thereof) is becoming worrisome.

Last week it was reported he was injured during the game. He was listed as questionable yesterday. I thought Hilinski was injured as well. However it appears he slid down the depth chart. With Bryant getting dinged up who will be behind center. Does Hilinski move up? Lausch was electric yesterday with the run, he throws Lazard too. It will be interesting to see what develops this week. Also who will emerge as QB1 in week 3.

New rule, all teams have to release two hours before kick. Bookmark for reference:

This is great. Thanks for sharing. Thought I saw Lawson out there…must have confuse him with Flakes. Wonder how long Uihlein is out? His absence was conspicuous…Soares taking advantage of his opportunity.

Lawson is 92, pretty sure I saw Pearson wearing 94 out there late. Big kid, that’s about it.

With NU's offensive line, they will need all the QBs they can get. I know it is not a popular idea but when a QB is getting sacked multiple times in a short span I think they should rotate someone else in for a series just so #1 can gather his thoughts and shake off the hits. This should be explained to the QB room to make it clear that they are not being pulled for performance but for protection and that they will be back in after they have had a chance to recover and think clearly what is happening in the game.

I disagree, because that would just mess up the cohesiveness with an already very suspect offense of line you know, like Miss snaps false starts this is football quarterbacks know they’re gonna get hit.

Def saw Lawson, unless someone else who looks exactly like him was wearing a jersey with his name on it. Then again, I thought their QB's name was Laufenberg the whole time.

He was out officially so I don’t think you saw him. Probably Pearson.

Very good question. He's definitely on the sidelines dressed in his uniform. Duke has shown us with this game what a dual thread quarterback can do. Quite surprising that Sullivan has not gotten a chance yet.

Well there ya go. I'd start him next week but no confidence that'll happen.
