It truly was an amazing defensive effort.

I have a friend who is a huge Stanford fan who has taken me to several of their games, including the Fight Hunger Bowl last year. He's always talking smack about how good they are and is typically condescending about my 'nice pussycats'. Remembering E-Cat's very simple and effective "1-0" post after the '33' game win over Ohio State, I sent my Stanford pal a very simple text of my own yesterday: "heh-heh". Of course, he went ballistic and it's been non-stop ever since. Definitely the most texts I've ever received in a 24-hour period!

According to ESPN, the 6 points Stanford scored yesterday is the fewest for the Cardinal since 2007.

There are so many parallels with that 95 Opening Season win against ND. ND has still not recovered. Time will tell if Stanford will similarly look back to the "glory days" having been brought to an end by those pesky Wildcats.
