NSD and all the stars gave aligned again. The fives went to the big programs and the 4's as well (none to NU), with the 3's and 2's scattered.
Mike and Mike had noted this morning that there were NO 5 stars on the starting superbowl teams...none. and there are always the pundits who correlate stars with success, and they are a good indicator, but not the end all. Developing players as well as better training techniques, strength and conditioning, may change a player into a much larger or faster player that he is on signing day(Lowry).
We didn't get any 4's or 5's but that doesn't mean a whole lot if our "gets" develop well and mature well. While it is always nice to get the big uglys up front, there are only a handful of players rated 5's yet there are hundreds of thousands of players at the high school level each year. McManus, JJ Watt, Leveon Bell were all under recruited and under starred. I look at our team and current class as "half full" with possibilities, now that our QB will have 2 legs, not one, our RB corps is whole, and our defensive backfield is improved. Let's hope our offense is designed around the skills of our players and not a system .

While it was noted that both super bowl teams had zero 4 stars, they both had a boatload of 4 stars.

Our class is just fine if we can develop players over 5 years. Walker did but I remain disappointed in the development of our players under Fitz. Fitz has things that neither Barnett or Walker had, so I'm not busting on Fitz, but I do remain disappointed in the general lack of development of players under Fitz. And it's totally unacceptable to have a 4th year QB not being ready and looking like a deer in headlights. We have to eventually address problems or risk repeating things.
