As much as CC preaches defensive intensity, it's surprising that our defense simply doesn't create steals. CC must prioritize staying in position over reaching for the ball or something. This season, we are 256th in the country in (tempo free) steal %. Last season, we were 346th--6th from last in all of college basketball.
Our lack of steals is especially surprising to me since Assistance Coach Patrick Baldwin is the all-time leader in steal in Northwestern history. That guy was a ball hawk!
