I don’t think these numbers will surprise anyone, but here you go…

When opposing team shoots 40%+ 3PG%, NU is 1-6. The exception was @ Indiana. Indiana shot 50%, though on lower than the average # of opponent 3FG attempts. NU won the turnover battle +9.

When opposing teams shoot less than 40% 3FG%, NU is 11-2. The exceptions are @Illinois and vs Michigan. Illinois shot 29.2% and NU shot 42.9%. NU won the turnover battle +6. However, we shat the bed on 2FG% (31%). Michigan shot 35%, which is their average. However, it was NU’s worst 3FG% game of the year (15.8%). Was one of just two games we shot below 20%. Oddly, the other game was the victory over Purdue (18.2%).

Illinois was able to dribble drive and score in the paint in the second half of that game. This started after they began knocking down threes to open the half. If we play them again (would love a rematch), we have to find an answer to Shannon, who is a beast. Maybe some rest for Chase will do the trick.

They outscored NU 17-0 when Verhoeven was playing center.
They outscored us 10-8 when Nicholson was playing center.

Seems like we "might" be able to come up with an answer to Shannon driving the lane.

I had a mid life crisis moment a couple of months ago. Started watching The Last of Us on HBO and got inspired to buy a PlayStation 5.

Been playing it quite a bit. Finished 3 games so far. 60% done with another.
