Take a look at what NU has done within both the BIG and against "academic" competitors since football was resurrected in Evanston in 1995. These stats don't lie and might surprise you...especially with where things are trending.

1. vs Indiana NU is 12-3. The streak is 5 Ws in a row for the Cats. The trend is 9 NU wins in the last 10.
2. vs Illinois NU is 16-8. The streak is 4 Ws in a row for the Cats. The trend is 6 NU wins in the last 7.
3. vs. Minny NU is 12-8. The streak is 2 Ws in a row for the Cats. The trend is 8 NU wins in the last 12.
4. vs Iowa NU is 13-9. The streak is 3 Ws in a row for the Cats. The trend is an eye popping 9 NU wins in the last 13.
5. vs. Purdue NU is just 11-10. But the streak is 5 Ws in a row for the Cats. And the trend is 7 NU wins in the last 8.
6. vs MSU, Wisc. and Nebraska the Cats are 22-22 with a .500 winning % against each of those teams. However, we also have a 6 game winning streak vs the trio and have won 10 of the last 14 against the Badgers, Spartans and Huskers. I love that trend.
7. vs. Rutgers and Maryland we are 2-0.

That accounts for 10 of our 13 BIG bros. With winning streaks vs all of them and a combined trend of winning 51 out of the last 66 games vs those schools. Time to set our sights on PSU, UM and OSU. We've beaten PSU in 2 of the last 3, but need work vs UM and OSU.

Since 1995 we have dominated our academic peer institutions. Please note that I use that term (peer) loosely for purposes of this post. Vs. Stanford, ND, Vandy and BC we are 7-1. Adding Duke takes us to 17-5 while winning 8 of the last 11 games vs the Blue Devils.
