I am not sure if I missed this as a previous thread- but does anybody know what are the renovators going to do with the old football practice facility once the lakefront facility is finished? As part of the renovation, will the basketball teams have new practice facilities as well? What are they going to do with the old outdoor practice field by Ryan field- make it into more parking spaces or what? Just curious.

Men's and Women's basketball and volleyball will use the converted Trienens Hall as state-of-the-art practice facilities.

According to Chicago Tribune, the contractors for the renovation recommended a 24 month time frame but apparently made an 18 month commitment. What happens if they fall behind schedule and the new Welsh-Ryan is not available for the 2018-2019 season ?

No sense in putting a live camera on this cause it'd be covered w dust, but it's nearly as exciting as the new-improved lakefront.
