Anyone notice NU having to use a time out because Wisconsin's lineman was "confused" as to whether he was suppose to be in or out when they were substituting under the equal opportunity to substitute rule? The lineman ran out to the middle of the field after most of the substitutions had already gone in, looked around confused and then headed off. Literally NU sat there waiting for what seemed like 10 seconds or more. Coach Braun just sarcastically shook his head as if this was a blatant abuse of the rule - which it was although perhaps legal. What if this game had come down to the wire and that time out was critical? That rule needs to be refined.
