Can we call this the “Olympic Sports” forum? That’s how the university characterizes them, and frankly does more justice to the great athletes (and champions!) that are delivering great things for our community.
I still prefer The Coral Forum. @CoralSpringsCat posted 80% of theseCan we call this the “Olympic Sports” forum? That’s how the university characterizes them, and frankly does more justice to the great athletes (and champions!) that are delivering great things for our community.

Non-Rev Sports Board? Or Amateur Sports Board?
How about “The Freeloading Sports Board”? It works on several levels.Non-Rev Sports Board? Or Amateur Sports Board?
I started every game at NU , playing with many football players each Spring. They did not look at me as a freeloader but as a teammate. We played about 60 games in 10 weeks, traveling to away games in station wagons that seniors drove, with a paltry per diem for meals. How about “The Freeloading Sports Board”? Is this a joke?I started every game at NU , playing with many football players each Spring. They did not look at me as a freeloader but as a teammate. We played about 60 games in 10 weeks, traveling to away games in station wagons that seniors drove, with a paltry per diem for meals.
I had offers to play professional baseball after high school but chose NU . It was miserable playing in the cold weather but every day from January to June ,25 of us showed up for practice and games
I have no idea if CMT was an All American or a walkon but I am confident that I was as good at my sport as he was at his. I also believe I was even better at my adopted sport of rugby , proving myself against some of the best players in the world
I would guess that during my years at NU, football lost money and was subsidized just as baseball was but to use the term freeloader for the sacrifices these athletes made is unfair
