I think the observation that Boo wasn’t facing a B1G defense is probably the most important one. I don’t know how hurt Shaver was — he looked way gimpy at the start of the second, and not as bad as the half progressed — but there was nobody who could keep Boo from where he wanted to go.

NU also didn’t maintain the defensive intensity — as measured by defensive rebounding, and by turnovers forced — in the second half.

I appreciate the specific callout to the Berry offensive board, which swung from Boo to Chase’s corner three. That was the biggest play of the game, following Rice’s game-tying three when NU just kind of …let him pull up on the break.
