Ten Questions: 9. Which freshmen will step up this season?

Good summary. So much opportunity here.

NU lists 10 TEs and 13 WRs on the roster.

Nobody expects us to be anything but roadkill this season. I even heard some dude on Youtube speak contemptuously of our coach being from North Dakota State. Does he seriously not know anything about NDSU's program? (They're 6-0 against FBS teams since 2010; all wins on the road.) It would be so sweet to go out and win 6 or 7 games and shut the self-anointed "pundits" mouths.

Damon Walters was part of the early enrollment. Is he expected to get some playing time? Especially with so many losses in the secondary?

Safety is one position where the Cats are solid, even with the loss of Jeremiah Lewis to the portal. Starters should be Coco Azema (returning from injury) and Rod Heard, with Devin Turner, Jaheem Joseph, and Garner Wallace as experienced backups. But I personally think, based on no real evidence, that Walters could move up in the depth chart, especially with injuries that inevitably happen during the season.
