What’s going on with our recruiting (or lack there of) in Texas? What has typically been a hotbed for NU seems to be relatively untouched thus far in our 2020 efforts. We seem to be seriously involved with only a couple of offers in Sullivan (WR) and Gamble (CB). We’ve offered a couple of real studs in Lindberg (OL) and Gonzalez (DB) but it doesn’t appear either are showing much interest. Lindberg is disappointing in that he’s a stellar academic kid who’s close with Jason Gold and is being heavily pursued by Stanford. Are we feeling the effects of Bates’ departure? I was hoping Ayeni would have picked up where Bates left off. Hopefully our coaches are down scouring the Lone Star State during the current evaluation period. Would be nice to build upon our success and generate some more offers and eventual commitments.
