Thanks to FLAlum I now know how to Edit Titles!

Rosenberg is a good player. Lo was less impressive. Mullins almost killed the Cats tonight.

Part of Lo's absence was the fact that so many other players were getting it done instead. He wasn't really needed...until OT and by then he had no groooooove...

I'm just happy we won. The title of the OP gave me a scare there.

The Lions' #3, #12 & #13 are monster 3-pt shooters. They lived by the 3 pointer and led by 13 in H-1 and died by it as well in H-2. Hardly no rebounding to speak of, but when you shoot 66% from the arc, you don't need to rebound. That is until the 3-pt well runs dry, then you are left looking for redemption - and there wasn't any to be had tonight when CU's 3-pt shots weren't finding the bottom of the bucket, allowing the 'CVats an opening to get back into the game which they took full advantage-of. Still. the 'Cats only got their first lead of the entire game halfway thruough OT and it was nip-n-tuck from there until the last 2.9 seconds left on the clock.

Thank you, Turk, for the epic court-side seats.

Taphorn and Falzon made Rosenberg look a lot better than he was with their defense, or lack therof. When Sanjay and later Skelly guarded him, I don't believe he had a FG.

These first three games have not been inspiring.

We've won all three and several players have shown bits of what they can do well. Mac, Demps, Falzon and Olah have had really nice moments. It was great to see Skelly have some nice plays, and tonight might get him more PT down the line.

But inspiring ... no. This team does not appear to be ncaa caliber.

NCAA dance caliber? No buy this really was an important win. Other than Maryland, MSU, Indiana, and Purdue, the BIG is down and im hoping we can find 7+ wins there.

i think we have a chance to improve upon last years record and maybe a nit.

But I told you so. Columbia is good.
I think the thread should have been titled I "hate" to say I told you so. Because you love it. Anyway, it was an exciting game and both teams played well offensively and it was a nice November win.

Posting "I told you so" is probably never a good idea. By the way, Longwood (kenpom rank 268) beat Columbia at Columbia over the weekend for their first win over a Div 1 opponent this year.

I guess Columbia isn't good after all. So NU had to go to OT to beat teams that lost to Longwood, and Alabama State, a SWAC team whose only other win is a 2 point victory over Chicago State. Does that mean NU isn't very good either?

It means we beat them. Stop acting like a little girl...
