Some in the Twitterverse are calling B-Mac's 3 with 58 seconds left last night as the single biggest shot in program history. I gotta agree. Miss that shot, down by one, and there would be a real possibility of permanently torpedoing our best chance ever to make the Dance -- which, at this stage of the program, is the only thing that matters. It also happened to be an amazing shot -- a long 3-pointer while dribbling hard to his left -- in an incredible atmosphere at Welsh-Ryan. Hopefully, it will soon be surpassed by another "biggest shot in program history," but right now, it's on top.

You certainly can make a case for that. Lose this one and then another one to the Illini and they're probably out of the tournament. They definitely need to get the one in Champaign to avoid another bad loss and guarantee a winning record in conference play.

Don't agree here. Illini have some very good wins (VCU,BYU,Mich). Doubt if we are favored there. Hopefully, the team will play a little looser than they did at home this past week (Make shots!). We do need another win but this one is not a must like Rutgers was.

Illinois is a top 100 team and will not fall out of there. It's not a bad loss.

I think Wisconsin will stay the most important win, but Mac will have some great chances to surpass himself in the next few weeks.

Absolutely right. Illini has some of the best talent in the Big Ten and when they can sniff the win, like yesterday at Iowa, they turn it on and play.

But the coaching is pretty bottom tier. Good at motivating, but horrible or non existent philosophy and schemes. And the player rotations are like a Trump press conference. Pulling it right out of his posterior with no rhyme or reason. And everyone on the team is seeing it for the first time.

The Illinois game is a 50 50 proposition. On the hopeful side, Scottie was not really in rhythm with the team yesterday. Three more days of practice and the Rutgers game to knock a little rust off and maybe it goes up a notch.
