Reminds of how this season began with the big question of who would come out the gate as the starting quarterback, though then it was with regard to both teams.

“We won’t. One guy will trot out there,” Whittingham explained. One guy will trot out there on our first offensive possession, and that will be the guy.”

When asked if there was any chance that Huntley and Jason Shelley could both play, Whittingham kept things close to the vest.

While Huntley is clearly better, this shouldn’t much affect NU’s game plan as both he and Shelley play a similar game.

Isn’t Huntley the RPO guy? I guess he is the Communist and Shelley presents more of a Socialist threat.

Shelley is actually a better passer, but both rely on RPO. The deficiency Shelley has is inexperience. In the last several games he did not recognize option opportunities as well as Huntley did before his injury,
