It's amazing that four years ago DanVitale burst on to the NU scene as a very fast superback with Gi-Normous calves, good hands and bulldozer power. He was the guy that color commentators always mentioned and a big threat to game plan around for opposing coordinators. Alas though, he seems to be lost in the myriad of other debates like whether Christian Jones can come back? Can Shuler make the big catches this year? Will Nagel and Roberts start or play? Garret Dickerson and his potential. Vault's speed. Can Cam Dickerson have a big year now that his hand is healed? The debates rage on with Thorson and his potential at the forefront, but there is Dan Vitale, still there, still very good and I hope poised for a fantastic senior year!

He's had some nagging minor injuries. Hope he can stay healthy and contribute in a major way this year. Dan and the rest of the team seem to be off to a good start on the health front -- fingers crossed, knock on wood, and any other superstition possible that that will continue throughout the season.

Do you mean that Captain Dan Vitale has been forgotten. I don't see that.
I think he was used as a blocker more last year out of necessity to protect Trevor and so we saw less of him as a receiver plus defenses are prepping for the SB position better.

Thanks Deering good thought and Shakes I wasn't talking about the team and what they think of him but rather the board and the media.

As a Sr with exceptional talent, I would expect them to try and showcase him a little.
