It's technically the recruiting dead period right now, which means that coaches can't meet with players or their parents face-to-face, but they can still call, email or use social media to contact recruits. So the fact that he hasn't heard from them in so long is telling.
However, there is a surprising new development: Texas is now recruiting him. He thinks they could be offering soon and he hopes to set up a visit. Apparently, Texas is trying to keep their interest low-key so that it doesn't attract other schools.
