The smoke that billows out when we win at the end of games...

Who was it that used to do the Friday morning chemistry demonstrations to predict the winners of football games? Eberhard?

Any chemistry people on this Board? How can we make this happen?
I would guess it may be compressed or liquid carbon dioxide. When you spray it out and it expands , it tends to cool water vapor in the air and that may be what you see.

He was my first thought. He had some pretty cool ones during Rose Bowl year which was when I took gen chem.
 
Considering how much we're winning these days, I'm starting to worry about the health consequences of being exposed to that stuff!
On a flight to New Zealand, an announcement was made that NZ Agriculture laws required the plane to be sprayed with a "harmless agent". The flight attendants appeared in gas masks and sprayed the plane with the "harmless agent".
