I feel bad for our senior class, who accomplished what no one else had ever accomplished at NU. But this season can't end soon enough for me. Not going to hold my breath for the NIT.

The first half against MSU showed a tantalizing glimpse of what MAY be possible next year, in a brand new true home court, with Pardon and Law leading the team.

NIT is now officially not a possibility. It was already looking like a longshot with the loss to Rutgers. Would have only be salvageable with a win over Michigan State, which, well...

Will be interesting to see what the future holds for Rap and Brown. NU, perhaps more than other Power 5 schools, needs good depth to compete. Not having either of them really available, plus Turner ineligible to play this year, really hamstrung the team.

Brown showed both sides of his Jekyll and Hyde persona today. First half he created some shots, took care of the ball and closed out the half with Lindsey sitting with foul trouble. Second half he was a little wild and was part of the problem that allowed MSU to get back in the game.

I was most excited to see Pardon and Law leading the team, with Gaines playing like a beast in the first half. Add Lathon, Nance, Turner, Benson and a healthy Falzon to the mix and I think we can play with anyone.

I appreciate your optimism, but what does it say that we are champing at the bit to have our two preseason All Big Ten guards graduate? (Yes, I know BMac has been playing hurt, but still)

We will definitely miss Mac next season. I was just amazed to see the energy and passion in the first half, and tried to imagine what it would be like next season. Just the inconsistency of our seniors has been a huge disappointment this year.

May win a couple more games, but this team has just run out of players.

The W against MSU was there for the taking. Heroic effort.

Season is over for all intents and purposes. Don’t have the depth to make a heroic Big Ten Tournament run. Doubt Collins will accept CBI bid. Still going to root for them in each remaining game so they finish above .500 overall.

Gee, I wonder if we'll be able to find someone who can walk - literally walk - the ball up the court and shoot 28% from three in conference.

Obviously Scottie was one of the reasons we made the Dance last season. Likewise, he is one of the reasons we will not make the Dance this year. He and his class will still go down in NU history as the ones who got it done.

Time for a fresh new chapter next season.

Yes. A thousand times, yes.

I really love basketball and seeing NU try to do it the right way never gets old for me.

I'll enjoy these next handful of games and really miss the team when the season is over.

Now, if this had been about "I can't wait to never see another game at Allstate Arena...." that would be different.

I feel bad for McIntosh. The kid plays his heart out, is tough as nails and could've been the difference today. Plus, he deserves better from some of his teammates.

The wheels have fallen off, with the injuries and the poor play. Lindsey and Mac gave it a valiant effort in their final home game, but just not enough to get the W.
