What are the most glaring differences?

One is that Lumpkin, allegedly the “heart and soul” is gone. Another is that Pat Baldwin is coaching at UW-Milwaukee. A third is this “quasi-home away from home” aka, Allstate Arena and no authentic home court. What else?

In terms of the difference in results, other than just the W-L record, our guys are getting left in the dust more often ... I count 6 losses by 15 or more points in 26 outings. Last year, in 36 games including the tournaments, we lost by 15 or more only 3 times. I suppose that’s a “product” of what’s different, more than a difference (as in a potential cause) per se. But to argue the other side, once you start realizing that such sizable losses can happen to you, maybe confidence is harder to come by than if you are losing by just a little when you don’t manage to win.

Observation: I have a feeling that this year’s Wildcat team has a kind of bipolar thing going on; whereas, last year the team projected a more “strong and steady” persona. But maybe that’s just me going over into psychobabble.

Texas Tech demonstrated the blue print to beat NU and others have followed. Seeing this years teams performance makes me appreciate their accomplishments last year even more

We were playing just as good as last year once we got Ash in the rotation. It ain’t rocket science! Still, with Ash hurt,Bmac better be on target as Collins has no faith in Brown. I hope we get Ash back at Rutgers. Without Jordan Ash, no way, no how, do we beat MSU!

Right. If the opponent has enough size and speed to overwhelm Mac and Pardon, we're in trouble. Our offense becomes totally reliant on Lindsey taking bad shots and prayer 3s from the rest of the team.
