And a lot of our competition going forward, not looking as formidable as before. MN had trouble with Kent State, IL demolished, Nebraska having trouble. Our potential is looking better.

To me this was a huge game for many other different reasons. I still have no idea how we'll perform in B1G play, especially if Thorson doesn't improve quickly (I'm not complaining, and I am patient for him). But I think this was a big game because it established some consistency, it will (hopefully) keep us on a steady climb in the polls for the next two weeks, and it showed us that this defense is legit, not to mention special teams.
I think it means that in all likelihood, we'll be going to a bowl game. That's more than many here were expecting just 15 days ago...
I just watched the first half and I totally agree with you. Duke's offense is scary fast and their defense is pretty darn good. So far our offense stinks(we could have the worst wide receivers in the B1G) , but I know that we won, so we did something right.
