He is tall and has deceptive speed. He was running away from backs, not linemen. Kafka was hampered by having only one year of QB experience in HS, though. Clayton played pretty well for his first college game.

Thorson didn't play QB full time until his senior year either.
 
On his touchdown run, it didn't seem like he was running all that fast, but he kept widening the gap of his pursuers. It's a great sign! Any threat he brings with his feet will only make it easier on his passing.

That is what I saw too. It took him a couple of strides to get to full steam but in the replay only one guy who came from totally on the other side of the field was closing on him.

I like your helmet.
 
Reminds me of Andrew Luck AS A RUNNER. Both are 6-4. Luck ran a 4.59 at his pro day.
