Thorson injured?

Less than 24 hours ago, Fitz stood in front of the fans and was excited about Thorson. Even said the other QB's would have roles. Thorson even did a podcast with insidenu. So I'm not sure if you read the report right or what is going on in vegas??? I went to vegasinsider.com and I didn't see that report. The only thing I saw was them talking about the 45 point total being the second lowest.
Guys you have to go to the Stanford-NU game spread for Vegas Odds. On the game they list the various Casinos and their numbers. Under that horizontal set of numbers it states big players who are out for the teams playing. It states "NOW-Clayton Thorson- OUT"

I am still guessing that's it's simply a mistake, but this is a big site that a ton of people go to.

One would think that given the fact that $'s are involved these guys would have good sources.........
Yes, I would change my prediction if there was a significant injury like this. But it would be a complete insult if we found out about such a big injury through Vegas as opposed to those in the program we support. I think Vegas is wrong. At any rate, the line didn't move so it may be a misprint.
I've been on this board about a month and I really don't understand why you add negative remarks about Turk under most of his post. If there is some personal issue or you just don't like his predictions on the sports show then can you please just ignore him? I don't see him attacking you, as he seems like he has class thus far, plus he is knowledgeable on our team.
You don't seem like a bad fan until you start cluttering post under Turk.

His schtick is quite old. Occasionally I can't help but point out the absurdity.
Plus if you've only been here a month, yes -- Turk often makes a habit of trolling and tries to make things personal with me.
I have been on for a long time and also get annoyed at the endless bickering among the posters. When asked about it, the response seems to be that they enjoy it. I quit asking about it.
Yes NJ and that's what bothers me. I truly think it's just a case that Thorson was named the starter two days ago...My guess is what they meant to say was that "Thorson will start at QB fo NU"

If it is a ploy by VegasInsider to get more NU fans to visit their website... it worked. I never heard of it before today and have checked it four times to see if they had corrected the statement.
Seems kinda doubtful. A betting website intentionally putting out incorrect info for marketing purposes, which could cause users to lose money?
There is undoubtedly lingo that everyone who bets understands - a shorthand - but, and I am reaching here, perhaps "NOW ... OUT" means that the news is now out publicly. Perhaps Vegas thought they knew about Thorson's selection before the public announcement.
It seems like a mistake because if it were real news, I think other media would know about it. OTOH, as long as they let the number 2 practice all week and not try to give "injured Thorson" reps for when he comes back, I don't think it would make that big of a difference. The competition was close and # 2 just needs the reps and time to prepare.
Good reach, but I don't think this is the case. I scanned the list for other players listed as OUT and they are known injries, like the BYU and Arkansas RB's. I also doubt it refers to their sexual orientation.......
