Three-star safety Ty Hudkins decommits from Northwestern

"the University of Northwestern" = infinitely worse that "NW"

sorry to see anyone de-commit but when I see "University of Northwestern" - I'm fine.
There is actually a University of a Northwestern in the Twin Cities which is also purple.

Is there a single thing that makes NU football attractive to recruits right now. Anything?

I would still say being able to get into a top-tier university you probably wouldn't get admitted to otherwise is up there...play a Big Ten football schedule while living in Chicago and not West Lafayette or East Lansing, which will now also mean visits to LA, Seattle, and New York (cough, New Jersey).

I believe there are good football players out there who want these things...and frankly, yes, a good chance to start earlier than you would elsewhere...at least at the moment.

I was a ChemE undergrad and did an internship at 3M in St Paul. I told an older coworker that I was a Northwestern student. He spent all summer wondering how a bible college.had a ChemE department.

I lived for several years in Minneapolis and my purple Northwestern gear was often mistaken for the local college.
